In 2012 KSA made over $153,000 in donations

2012 KSA dinner meetings and events

2012 was a another busy year for KSA with over $153,000 in funding provided to local minor sports groups, minor athletes and charities. (Refer to Donations 2012 for a breakdown of the recipients.)

 

       


         Generally, dinner meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at the Edelweiss Sports Bar & Grill. (September, October, November, January, February, March, April and May).  Conflicts with the Kitchener Ranger schedule sometimes necessitate a change.

May 15, 2012:  Athlete of the Year Celebration
The annual Athlete of the Year event was held on May 15, 2012 with Miranda Ranieri recognized for her achievements in 2011 (and prior). For more on this event, and the other nominees, visit our 2011 Athlete of the Year webpage.

June 12, 2012: KSA Scholarship Awards Dinner
This year, KSA awarded five scholarships at the Scholarship Awards Dinner held at the Edelweiss Sports Bar in Kitchener. Each award consisted of $1,000 towards first year tuition and a further $1,000 for second year studies. The 2012 Scholarship Recipients were: Amin Ali - Eastwood, Graham Beany - Forest Heights, Gorian Ganze - Resurrection, Krista Miller - Eastwood, and Alexandra Saulk - Cameron Heights. October 16, 2012: KSA's AGM & "Hockey Night in Kitchener"
A very special evening! We issued an open invitation for everyone to come out and enjoy a fine meal with the us, the Rangers Directors, coaching staff and other special hockey guests celebrating the start of the new season (for the OHL anyway) and the 40th anniversay of the Canada -Russia series. 

November 20, 2012: KSA Volunteer Recognition Dinner
The 24th annual KSA Volunteer Recognition Dinner was held on November 20, 2012.  There were 27 volunteer awards this year including two husband and wife teams. MC was Don Cameron and the guest speaker was Don McKee. For more on this event visit our Volunteer Recognition 2012 webpage.
