Purpose:

In general, to make grants available to any community or minor sports organization with participants from the city of Kitchener based on an ability to demonstrate a special project or innovative need.

Availability:

One – time only, per season for each special project or innovative need.

Application Deadline:

There is no deadline for applications for funding. Applications are accepted for consideration throughout the year, and are considered by the KSA Operating Committee, comprised of the Board of Directors and volunteers from the membership.
 

 Funding is available for the following specific purposes:

Travel Grants:

To assist with travel costs for teams or individuals who have qualified as provincial champions, or equivalent, traveling to National (or equivalent) or International events. The grant will assist local players and volunteer coaches/assistants, managers/ trainers, and other volunteers specifically attached to the team.

Hosting Grants:

To assist Organizing Committees in hosting National or International events. Funding is based on the number of competitors, including coaches, managers etc., and will range from $2 to $20 per participant.

Equipment/Capital Grants:

To assist organizations with the purchase of equipment or renovation of facilities to ensure safe environments for participants.

Other Special Grants: 

Will be considered on an individual basis, on their own merit.
