GRADE 8 LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
This program was initiated in 1999 (in conjunction with the Scholarship prgram) to provide recognition to Kitchener grade 8 students who display a combination of academic and athletic achievement and current and future leadership skills. Schools were each invited to nominate one student to be honoured at the annual KSA Scholarship Dinner Meeting in May. At the dinner ceremony each student received an honorarium ($100 cheque) and certificate to commemorate the occasion. The program has been suspended since the 2001 awards due to an overall lack of interest by most of the schools.
