You must be a Kitchener resident currently attending secondary school to be eligible.

• A recommendation from the applicant's minor sport. (use "link" for list. Please note: This list is not definitive for scholarship purposes as involvement with other sports groups may be considered for reasons such as; local affiliation is not existant for that sport or your particular skill level or your group is not yet affiliated. )

• A recommendation from the applicants school summarizing both academic commitment  and extracurricular activities.  A copy of the current offical transcript must be included with the application.

• Demonstration of financial need

 NB:  For 2010, Friday April 16 was the Scholarship Application deadline 

(The deadline for 2011 awards has yet to be set.)

Up To Four (4) Scholarships are awarded annually + 1 for a KW Ranger applicant

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE

   All winners will be notified within a week of the application dead line (April 16 for 20010, and invited as guests to the May KSA dinner meeting (usually held the third Tuesday of May i.e.  May 18th in 2010). Recipients may bring one guest/family member, plus someone (e.g. coach or teacher) who will introduce the recipient to the KSA membership.

Recipients may invite additional guests/family members who are welcome to attend for $15/person.
