• Dinner menu – three entrée choices
• Collection of fees – Gord Dearborn, Treasurer - $15 ea or $95 for season ($35 savings!)

• Meeting in October is the Annual General Meeting – seeking additional committee members
• Activa Sports Complex – KSA Lobby – donor recognition meeting soon re:display/signage in lobby
Grand Opening probably not until the new year.
Both hockey and boxing have their offices up and operating in the new facility
Ice surfaces in the arenas should be in use by the end of September
• 50/50 Draws – Rick Weinstein, Tom Gural, Norm Foss, and Bill Smith
Confirmed all is ready for the season with tickets at $5 es., 3 for $10 or 7 for $20

There are 64 groups operating at the new hall with each session earning $850 to $1,000.
KSA hosts 3 or 4 sessions per month so things are going well and getting better.
• 20th Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner – Adele Couchman
Dinner fee set at $25 ea. Invitations in process of being mailed.
Emily Verbiski funding - Funding for Emily Verbiski was already approved by the Operating Committee with the amount to be determined once more information was received. This information has now been submitted.
Moved by Lerinda Chapeskie, seconded by Don Sohner, that KSA provide $1,000 to support Emily Verbiski with her expenses as part of Canada's National Synchronized Swim Team. CARRIED

International Children’s Games - Presentation by John Cooper, City of Kitchener.16 Kitchener athletes (7 from soccer, 7 basketballl and 2 swimmers) attended the games in July and represented the City well. Thanks extended to KSA for the continued financial support.

NEXXICE was founded August 2000, representing the Burlington Skating Centre and the Kitchener Waterloo Skating Club. Junior and Adult Competitive Teams were formed in April 2006. Senior National Champions in both 2007 & 2008. World Bronze Medalists in both 2007 and 2008. The Junior team placed 5th at the 2008 World Challenge Cup.
NEXXICE GM Kathy Psutka and skaters Marny Wendland & Nichole Manahan informed KSA of their Club's activities, progress and aspirations.
